Cotuit

One last day of our trip. The good news is the forecast has gotten better. The bad news is that the old forecast was horrible. At least dense fog is no longer called for and the winds are slightly reduced to 10-15 with gusts to 25. So with that we left early to get the current going in the same direction as us, the wind and waves. We left the dock at 6:40 and everything started out great.

Then the wind and waves started to pick up a little.

After we past block island we started getting some nice swells from the southeast that add with the wind driven waves from the southwest to create a rock and roll sleigh ride.

We finally crossed Buzzards Bay and got some protection from Cuttyhunk. Although still very windy, the land kept the waves from getting to big.

By 11:30 we were approaching the Osterville cut. My mom met us at the dock and drove us home. Today is the clean up the boat and open up the house day!

Happy ending to a long day!
